Can’t keep a good Vampire down

So this is apparently happening.

A 4th Edition of Vampire: the Masquerade, the product that honestly got me interested enough to get into the World of Darkness (and subsequently, Mage.) It’s a big thing, and a big deal… and at the same time, it shouldn’t be.

There’s some pretty strong reactions to word about this announcement, most of which lamented why it was so close to the release of V20, but I don’t think that that line of thinking is a valid argument. V20 wasn’t meant to be a new edition as much as it was a massive compilation of the past 20 years of Vampire.

This? This is new.

And that’s probably why I’m so excited (and a little terrified) of it.

Change is always scary, but the changes that were introduced in Mage 20th with the various Traditions evolving to a new era were so cool that I can’t help but want the same to happen to the Vampire Clans of Masquerade.

Not a lot of news yet on what is going to change, but the fact that the Onyx Path people are working on it means that I can trust them to do a good job of it.
