Hey everyone,

In the spirit of the season I figure I might as well come up with a quick list of interesting Campaign Concepts for each day. Considering that it’s already the 16th, I’m sure I’ll get the timing all wrong, but hey, 12 days is still 12 days. So without further ado, let’s start with number 1: Ghost in the Machine

Ghost in the Machine is a mashup of elements from the last game of the classic World of Darkness: Orpheus, and the newest iteration of the “new” World of Darkness: The God-Machine Chronicle. On one hand, you have a thriller about a corporation which have found a means to create and employ ghosts to engage in espionage, sabotage and other shady deals. On the other, you have an alien and unknowable machine that sits behind the very physics that makes up reality. The idea of Orpheus teams being able to turn into ghosts is already a perversion of natural law, and who’s to say that the God-Machine isn’t involved in something like it?

Rules for this would be the basic World of Darkness with the God-Machine rules update and using the powers listed under Merits to simulate the powers of the Orpheus group. No need to try and gun for so much accuracy here, I’m not hoping for a translation guide as much as I’m interested in putting together two things that just seem to fit together. Add an angel of the God-Machine or two as a terrifying opponent that they cannot understand and we’ve got the beginnings of an interesting campaign.
