If there ever was such a thing as an odd duck in the Scorpion, it would be the Yogo. A family whose founder was originally from the Phoenix Clan, the Yogo are afflicted with a terrible curse to betray that which they most love.

This supernatural curse flows through their bloodline, and the Yogo carry themselves with a dour pessimism and stubborn determination to find ways to lift the curse. That said, the Yogo are experts at magics with lasting effects as well as magical wards.

Furthermore, the Yogo are the ones who delve deeply into the seedier side of magic, studying the shadowlands and their ways as to better protect the Clan (and the Empire) from it’s influence. They are reclusive and share a kinship only with the Crab Clan’s Kuni families.

In many ways the Yogo seem a little out of place, but they fulfill a vital role in the clan of secrets. The Yogo are those who safeguard things that Man Was Not Meant To Know, keeping dangerous magics away from everyone else. Their most notable duty was to protect the Black Scrolls.

Playing a Yogo is an interesting decision as the reality of the curse hangs over them at all times. Still, their efforts to protect the Empire are definitely noble and noteworthy.
