The Agasha Family are the literal odd ducks of the Phoenix Clan. Originally from the Dragon, the Agasha family defected to the Phoenix in response to the rule of the Dragon Champion, Hitomi whose methods were brutal and ruthless.

Their defection, while justified, was not something that the Dragon Clan views as acceptable, and there has been an animosity between the two Clans ever since.

The Agasha are known for their “progressive” approach to magic, taking on a methodical and “scientific” means to explore the boundaries of Elemental magic. This grants them unique insights towards how elements can be used in conjunction with each other to create spectacular effects.

As a new family to the Phoenix, the Agasha make for an interesting “outsider looking in” point of view. They’re struggling to find their place in their new Clan, and they do so with the same humility that defines the Phoenix. They’re not upstarts, and they don’t claim to be better at things than the others. Instead they pursue their findings and share them for the betterment of their new clan.

They also add a much needed wrinkle to the Phoenix in general. While the Phoenix tend to be meddlesome in the affairs of other clans in their self-appointed role as peacemakers and pacifists, the Agasha have put the Phoenix squarely in the sights of the Dragon, giving some tension to the Clan’s otherwise sedate nature.
