I’ve had a copy of Changeling: the Lost for almost three years now, and I own a great number of the supplements as well. And yet, for a game that has captured my imagination so, I have yet to run it.
Which is why I’m taking this opportunity to correct that situation.
Given that my mechanical capabilities aren’t exactly as honed as those of the other players in my group, I figure that it might be a good idea for me to actually take the time to study C:tL the same way I broke down the metaphysics of Mage: the Awakening on this blog.
My objectives:
- Get a handle on the mechanics of the various Changeling subsystems
- Understand the various motivations that fuel the Changeling mindset
- Apply what I’ve learned to create a sufficiently interesting campaign setting
- Generate a pitch that I can throw at my players
Tomorrow we start off with a quick look at just what Changeling: the Lost is, and what it’s not.
